Fallow Deer Hunting

The fallow deer features beautiful palmate antlers, making them amazing trophy hunts. But it’s their speed, intelligence, and allusiveness that makes the fallow deer an exciting and popular hunt.

While their coats are commonly chestnut with white mottles, it is not uncommon for a fallow deer to exhibit all white (leucistic), or all black (melanistic) coats. While the melanistic coats are rarer, Buck Horn Ranch has several in our herds.

Fallow deer can be hunted with rifle, bow, crossbow, pistol, and black powder. We have strategically placed tent blinds and tripods for close range shots. Our year-round feed program and food plots ensure a successful hunt.

Year round hunting, with a preferred season of Oct 1 – May 15.

Fallow Deer Hunting Packages

Fallow deer hunting packages include a total of 4 hunts over 3 days. Hunters check-in on Day 1 at 1:00 pm, hunt Day 1 afternoon, Day 2 morning/afternoon, and Day 3 morning. Check-out is Day 3 by 12:00 pm.

We provide fallow deer hunts to a limited number of clients. We take pride in giving our clients a high level of personal customer service and seek to create lifelong memories as opposed to just another trophy.
